Ingredients:

For the Cake:

  • 🧂 1/4 tsp salt
  • 🌸 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 🌷 Optional: A few drops of pink food coloring for vibrant color

For the Frosting:

  • 🧁 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 🍬 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 🍓 1/4 cup fresh strawberry puree
  • 🌸 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1️⃣ Prepare the Cake:

  1. Preheat Oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 8-inch round cake pans.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugar: Beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add Eggs: Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Mix Wet Ingredients: Blend the strawberry puree and milk in a small bowl.
  6. Combine Everything: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the strawberry-milk mixture. Mix until smooth.
  7. Optional Color Boost: Add a few drops of pink food coloring for a bright strawberry hue.
  8. Bake: Divide the batter evenly between the pans. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cakes cool completely.

2️⃣ Make the Frosting:

  1. Cream Butter: Beat the butter until creamy.
  2. Add Powdered Sugar: Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing well.
  3. Blend in Strawberry Puree: Stir in the strawberry puree and vanilla extract. Adjust the consistency with extra sugar or puree if needed.

3️⃣ Assemble the Cake:

  1. Layer: Place one cake layer on a plate and spread frosting evenly on top.
  2. Stack: Add the second layer and frost the top and sides.
  3. Decorate: Garnish with fresh strawberries for a final touch.

Tips:

  • For extra flavor, fold small strawberry chunks into the batter.
  • Use freeze-dried strawberries in the frosting for intense strawberry flavor.
